North Charleston’s sweet spots are split between Park Circle, where EVO Craft Bakery, Cakette Bakeshop and Daddy’s Girls Bakery bake on East Montague Avenue, Durant Avenue and Reynolds Avenue, and the shopping areas: River Street Sweets is inside Tanger Outlets, and Cold Stone Creamery has shops on Rivers Avenue and Dorchester Road.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside North Charleston’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 12, 2026. OpenStreetMap listed only a doughnut shop in this category, so we added places from the state’s SC Food Grades inspection records and Visit North Charleston’s dining listings where the place’s own site or chain store page gave a North Charleston address. Culver’s, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Insomnia Cookies and Dunkin’ have North Charleston inspection records, but their store pages would not load for us, so they are not listed yet. Ice cream trucks, pop-ups and businesses that bake only for delivery or markets are left out. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Cakette Bakeshop on Durant Avenue in Park Circle bakes small-batch goods that change with the seasons, four mornings a week. Its site says the shop also serves coffee and sells gifts and goods made by women artists.

Cold Stone Creamery has two North Charleston shops, on Rivers Avenue and on Dorchester Road. The Dorchester Road shop is in the Shoppes at Dorchester, behind the Chick-fil-A, its store page says. Both mix ice cream to order on a frozen granite stone and sell ice cream cakes, shakes and smoothies, with online ordering for pickup or delivery.

Daddy’s Girls Bakery on Reynolds Avenue was started by Nate and Chasity, its site says, and lists Charleston Chewies and a banana pudding cake among its desserts. Its site gives a phone number for orders but does not post opening hours.

EVO Craft Bakery shares its East Montague Avenue address with EVO Pizzeria. Its menu lists cookies, blondies, brownies, cupcakes, coffee cake, scones and croissants, with cinnamon rolls every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

River Street Sweets is a candy store inside Tanger Outlets that sells pralines, fudge, chocolates and caramel apples and lists in-store ice cream flavors on its site.
