Where it is
Liberty Hill sits less than a mile west of the Park Circle circle, just east of Rivers Avenue, with a rail line running through it. OpenStreetMap places it around Hassell Avenue and the Felix Pinckney Community Center; the city publishes no boundary for it, so we used a quarter-mile circle around that point. All 29 points we checked were inside the city limits and in Charleston County; 90% were in ZIP code 29405 and the rest in 29406.
To the north, the former Liberty Homes site has been rebuilt as Oak Terrace Preserve, which the plan describes as “a walkable, eco-conscious neighborhood.” For the World War II-era streets to the west, see our Ferndale page.
