Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 9, 2027. North Charleston’s easiest plans are a Sunday brunch in Park Circle or at Riverfront Park and a stop at the neighborhood’s florist and gift shops. Last year Firefly Distillery held a free Mother’s Day drop-in market the Saturday before; its 2027 plans had not been posted when we checked.

Plan ahead

• Local art and gifts: Park Circle Gallery, 4820 Jenkins Ave., open Saturday noon to 4 p.m.

Mother’s Day events

Firefly Distillery Mother’s Day Drop In (2026). On Saturday, May 9, 2026, Firefly, 4201 Spruill Ave., held a free drop-in afternoon from noon to 5 p.m. with the 843 Vendor Market of local makers, a build-your-own bouquet from the Rolling Daisies Flower Truck, live music and food trucks, with no reservations needed, according to its event page. We will add the 2027 date when Firefly posts it.

North Charleston Farmers Market. The city’s Thursday market at the Park Circle Pavilion opened its 2026 season on May 7, the Thursday before Mother’s Day, running 3 to 7 p.m. with produce, art and craft vendors and specialty food, according to the city’s market page. The 2027 season dates were not out when we checked.

Arts Fest. The free North Charleston Arts Fest ends the weekend before, April 28 to May 2, 2027 (Arts Fest).
