Father’s Day is Sunday, June 20, 2027. Firefly Distillery has marked recent Father’s Days with a limited bourbon release in the week or so before the holiday. Add a Sunday brunch, a brewery afternoon or a morning on a fishing pier.

Father’s Day events
Firefly Distillery bourbon release. On Friday, June 12, 2026, Firefly, 4201 Spruill Ave., released its limited “Live Father’s Day Single Barrel Straight Bourbon Whiskey” from 4 to 7 p.m., with free admission, live music and cocktails at the bar, and said bottles would not be restocked, according to its event page. In 2025 the Father’s Day barrel proof release went on sale Saturday, June 7, in a run of 168 bottles (2025 page). We will add the 2027 release when Firefly posts it.
Juneteenth. Juneteenth, June 19, falls the day before Father’s Day in 2027. In 2026 the Liberty Hill Juneteenth Parade and Celebration lined up at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, June 14, with the parade at 2 p.m. and a celebration after at Felix Pinckney Community Center, according to the city’s events calendar. The 2027 date had not been posted when we checked.

The H.L. Hunley, at the Warren Lasch Conservation Center, 1250 Supply St., is open for tours Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (hunley.org).
