Safety
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Halloween food safety tips tell parents to:
- keep children from eating anything that is not commercially wrapped
- check wrapped treats for tears, pinholes or an unusual look, and throw away anything suspicious
- read labels if a child has a food allergy
Daylight saving time ends the next morning, Sunday, Nov. 1, so Halloween night keeps its later sunset.
What this means for you
- Book Trick, Treat and Trail by Oct. 30 to save $5 a car.
- Buy Southern Screams’ timed tickets online before Saturday; capacity is limited.
- Check back for official hours and trunk-or-treat listings before Oct. 31.
