When the 2027 date comes out
St. Patrick’s Day 2027 falls on a Wednesday. In 2026 the city held the block party on the Saturday before the holiday, March 14. For 2026 the parade and vendor lists had closed and vendors were told by Feb. 4, so expect the 2027 details by midwinter on the city’s page and the special events calendar.
The parade
In 2026 the parade stepped off at noon from Park Place East, beside East Montague Avenue and across from the Park Circle Community Center. It ran down East Montague Avenue through the block party to Virginia Avenue. The Charleston Pipe Band marched, then played around the block party for the rest of the day. Parade entries filled up and registration closed before the event.
The block party
The block party fills East Montague with live music, street vendors, food from Olde North Charleston restaurants and a Kid’s Zone. In 2026 the city’s schedule put music on the Madra Rua Irish Pub patio, the EVO Pizzeria street stage, the DIG in the Park outdoor double-decker bar and at Commonhouse Aleworks, from noon into the evening.
Vendors are small specialty food vendors and artists or crafters whose goods do not duplicate the East Montague shops and restaurants. The Park Circle Business Collective and the Cultural Arts Department curate the lineup.
